The most complete guide for going on the world trip. We’ll regroup all the advice we learned during our own trips and share everything we wish we had known before going. The quest for the ultimate round-the-world itinerary can be frustrating. There’s a lot to consider: How do I go about picking my route? What’s the best way to raise funds and start planning? What are the most important things to consider when picking a mode of transportation? But most importantly, how do I make this decision regardless of what it takes and begin doing something that matters.
Dare to embark on the adventure
If you are of the first category, I think that it’s probably because you are not ready (at all), or maybe because you do not have the financial conditions to do it. We were also like this in the past! In fact, our excursion around the world would not have existed if we had not been lucky to find a company that made it possible…If you fall into this last category, I want to tell you that there is no reason to worry, because daring to embark on the adventure is what can make the difference between someone who has “been” and someone who has “lived”.Ah! of course, it also helps if you travel with a companion.
It is generally much easier to find reasons not to go travel around the world or to postpone the departure date than to really make the decision to leave. We think about work, the apartment, the friends, and believe that now may not be the right time and that one day, the perfect time will come.
Why are we going on a world tour exactly?
The first time we decided to go on a world tour, we knew almost nothing about it. We just had the desire to live this beautiful and exciting experience but we also had doubts because at first, traveling far away seemed impossible But after several months of preparations and some research, travel became a reality for us. We began to plan our trip, set a budget, do without certain expenses in order to save up money, and most importantly to find the courage!
Stop making excuses for yourself
For those of us who would like to travel but don’t, it’s because we often find reasons not to do so or to postpone it. Certainly, there are constraints of daily life that are specific to everyone, but in my opinion, it is really important to ask the right questions and especially to relativize and have the right state of mind. So if you are healthy and the dream of discovering the world has been haunting you for some time, read the following and try to lay on paper all the reasons that would prevent you from leaving… and try to find some solutions. One problem at the time…
The apartment or house
When you go on a long trip, the housing question can be a delicate one. If you’re planning a big expedition, say across the world or to another continent, your most likely lease — or rent in some cases — is going to be terminated. This is due to the fact that landlords and homeowners will want you to give them notice before you go on your trip, a lengthy journey that may last for months or years on end. However, depending on where you are traveling even if this is the case you can always find a new place to stay. If you have some experience living and traveling, you have certainly learned that there are essential things that you need to have and equipment to equip yourself before setting off. These are the top five items I would never travel without.
