The world is brimming with adventure enthusiasts who are ever ready to be a part of one. It has been observed in recent times that due to the cost escalation and decline in real pay people have stopped indulging in inland adventures like trekking and backpacking. However it is not true for water-born adventures, in fact, these have grown exponentially in number since the advent of new-age fiberglass boats and canoes. People are crazy about white water rafting and kayaking. While these both may look very similar from the outside but trust me they are different as chalk and cheese in terms of thrill, the stamina required and personality requirement – someone who has drowned on white water rapids can never survive in inland creeks and tidal currents. I have lived my entire life in pursuit of adventure. As a child, I took up swimming and sailing at school because they looked fun to me. Later on, when I was in college, I took part in adventure-based trips from rock climbing to skiing because I had learned to love them by then. They gave me the perfect platform for exploring my own capabilities, pushing myself beyond my comfort zone, and experiencing the beautiful faces of nature – its ruggedness as well as its soft touch.
Land Adventures
As an adventure traveler, there’s nothing quite like getting off the beaten path and finding yourself in stunning and surprising sites. When it comes to this, nothing can beat the Himalayan heights of the Southern Alps in New Zealand. Whether you’re a mountaineer through India and Nepal or an extreme adventurer who wants to climb up to the ice world of New Zealand, you’ll have a wide range of options that you’ll hardly be able to afford in just one single country. Up to this point, I have talked about individual sports and locations but there’s an incredible range of adventure activities that are transferable, adaptable, and therefore require minimal specialized equipment — like hiking and cycling. Adventurous travelers, especially those who are still new to the bucket list adventure travel game can be a bit intimidated trying to figure out what type of fun and exciting activities they want to do on their big trip. Well, my friends, let me help you out and introduce you to five of my favorite adventure travel wholesome, face-saving, life-changing…er…high adventures.
Air Adventures
So why do they matter then? I am sure there are many other adventurers out there who have tried one or more of these extreme sports (and maybe some who haven’t). Either way, I know that what all these adventures have in common is a sheer love of traveling and exploring new places. It also helps to know what makes these sports different, cost, best times of year to do them, how strong the wind needs to be, and other factors. That’s why I’m writing this blog post. It has some answers to your questions about the different adventure sports and how you can get started.
Water Adventures
Sailing, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving may have different names but all mean one thing – a mad rush for adventure. And when you are done with your holidays remember to come back. To help you find a fun way to get there and be able to return, let me give you some suggestions. So whether it’s the wild river gorges of Corsica, the Sailing paradise of the Mediterranean islands, or the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, these are my favorite adventure destinations for your money.
